Indications:
Labial herpes (so called coldsore) and herpetic changes on the face, caused by Herpes virus (Herpes simplex).
Action:
Acyclovir is an antiviral drug. It is gathered selectively in a tissue infected by Herpes virus (Herpes simplex). It is converted there into an active form - acyclovir triphosphate, which builts itself into the DNA of the virus and consequently impedes its development.
