Product Status:

Composition:
| Ibuprofen | 200 mg |
| Pseudoephedrine hydrochloride | 30 mg |
Indications:
The drug is used on a temporary basis to alleviate the symptoms of flu and cold symptoms:
- congested nose and paranasal sinuses
- headache
- fever
- osteoarticular pains
Action:
The drug demonstrates associated effect of the two components: ibuprofen – a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug and pseudoephedrine – a sympathomimetic agent.
Ibuprofen acts by inhibiting the activity of cyclooxygenase enzyme, which results in suppressed synthesis of prostaglandins from arachidonic acid. Ibuprofen has analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory effect.
Pseudoephedrine is a sympathomimetic agent that has both a direct and indirect effect on the sympathetic system. It reduces congestion of the upper respiratory airways mucosa. It restores patency to the nose and paranasal sinuses and reduces the volume of secretion. In comparison to ephedrine, pseudoephedrine induces tachycardia and increases the systolic arterial pressure, as well as stimulates the central nervous system to a lesser extent.
